Substance Abuse Awareness Event at SJU – 4/8/19

The Multicultural Student Organization of SJU is hosting a #substanceabuse #awareness event called “Too Smart To Start”!

The purpose of this event is to raise awareness to the growing drug epidemic on Staten Island, as well as across the country.

When: Monday, April 8th, 2019
from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m.

$5 recommended door entry fee: there will be food, raffles, speakers, and DJs from MakerPark Radio –!

This year, the speakers will be from: Camelot, Christopher’s Reason, Amethyst House, Community Health Action, Samaritan Daytop, Staten Island District Attorney’s Office, Ciavoia Organization (Lisa Ciavola), Tackling Youth Substance Abuse – TYSAVoices from Rock Bottom(Danielle M. Bianco-Bacigalupo), 12 Step organizations, music artist Alexis Corey Music, and many others.

Narcan training will also be provided.
